Alexandra Berta graduated as a citera player, folk singer, and folk music teacher in the very first class of the Folk Music Department at the Liszt Academy. After earning her degree, she spent eight years as a citera instructor at the Folk Music Department. Since 2013, she has been a folk music specialist at the House of Traditions, teaching advanced courses and serving as a judge at folk music competitions. She has released two solo albums: Ifjúság gyöngykoszorú (2006) and Lelkem a lelkeddel (2014). Her work has been recognized with the Bronze Cross of Merit of Hungary, the Junior Prima Prize, and the Paks Award for Culture. The joy of shared music-making and musical connection has always been important to her, which led her to continuously seek a path where she could truly experience this through her instrument. This is how the idea of founding the Pengetős Trió ensemble came to life.
